I Cure di Robert Smith hanno annunciato la pubblicazione di un nuovo doppio album dal vivo, Bestival Live, in uscita il 5 dicembre per l’etichetta Sunday Best Recordings.
Il disco è stato registrato al festival Bestival del 2011, che si è tenuto a settembre sull’Isola di Wight, e potrà contare su 32 tracce, per una durata di circa due ore e mezza. Il ricavato della vendita dell’album andrà in beneficenza per l’Isle of Wight Youth Trust, organizzazione che aiuta la gioventù disagiata dell’isola di Wight.

Il disco sarà il quinto live pubblicato dalla band inglese nella sua lunga carriera, dopo Concert: The Cure Live (1984), Entreat (1991) e i due album gemelli Paris e Show, registrati nel corso della tournée di promozione dell’album Wish (1992).
La band sarà presto di nuovo in tour per una serie di concerti, durante i quali tornerà a suonare con il gruppo Lol Tolhurst, ex batterista e tastierista uscito dalla band nel 1989.
