Lo Staples Center di Los Angeles ha ospitato ieri notte la 56ma edizione dei Grammy Awards, i più importanti riconoscimenti internazionali nel mondo della musica. La serata verrà ricordata per la spettacolarità dello show, ricca di momenti comici, nostalgici e a tratti anche toccanti.
A trionfare nella serata di L.A. sono stati soprattutto i Daft Punk, che si sono aggiudicati quattro grammofoni dorati: i due più importanti, album e record of the year (Random Access Memories e Get Lucky), oltre al best pop duo/group performance e al best dance-electronic album.
E’ stata però anche la serata di una reunion più che speciale: Paul McCartney ha eseguito Queenie Love accompagnato alla batteria da Ringo Starr, il tutto sotto gli occhi di Yoko Ono che in platea inizia a ballare con gli spettatori.
Altro momento da ricordare vede coinvolti Macklemore e Ryan Lewis: premiati con tre riconoscimenti (tra cui best new artist) i due rapper si sono esibiti dal vivo nella toccante Same Love, proprio nel momento in cui trentaquattro coppie (alcune di loro gay) si univano in matrimonio, con Madonna a far loro da madrina.
La vera soprresa però dei Grammy, oltre della scorsa annata musicale, è la 17enne Lorde, la cui hit Royals si è aggiudicata il premio di canzone dell’anno.
